“Dark violet. Ripe blackberry, cherry and oral pastille aromas are complicated by hints of woodsmoke, licorice candy and peppery spices. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering juicy red and dark berry flavors that deepen steadily with air. Chewy tannins build slowly on the long, penetrating finish, adding shape and grip to the echoing cherry and spice flavors.” - Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2021
Bodegas Morca is located in the village of Borja, in the province of Zaragoza. Grapes of Garnacha from small plots with low yields are hand-picked and fermented separately in small vats, then transferred into French oak barrels for 15 months to complete the malolactic fermentation process.
