This is spring and summer in a glass. With a nose of rose petals, wet stone, tea leaves, and peach skin, this is a savory rose. Medium-bodied with serious intensity! The palate is full of blood orange, strawberries, and persistent minerality. This is nothing but clean, crisp, and leaves you needing another sip! The great acidity makes this Rose so food friendly with just about anything you feel like eating.
Liquid Farm began in 2009 with a dedication to one grape, and one grape only- Chardonnay. However, when the opportunity arose to work with four barrels of Vogelzang's deliciously earthy Mourvèdre, Jeff Nelson couldn't resist the chance to make an old world style rose from right in his backyard of the Central Coast! The Mourvèdre is barrel fermented in neutral French oak. After fermentation, it is aged for 6 months in a combination of those same neutral oak barrels and stainless steel.
Featuring a profile of 95% Mourvèdre from the Vogelzang Vineyard with a 5% splash of Grenache from Two Wolves & Right Left Vineyards, the Liquid Farm Rose has blown up as one of the hardest to get #pinkcrack rose wines out there!
